Why Tromsø

A ski day that feels like an Arctic expedition

Our home slope sits 15 minutes from Tromsø city centre, between fjords and peaks that keep the snow cold, dry, and quiet well into spring.

  • Reliable snow from December to April, with floodlights on dark afternoons
  • Beginner zones that stay calm even in peak season
  • Polar-night skiing under a sky that sometimes lights up on its own
  • Short transfers — most hotels are within 20 minutes of the lifts

Why Nordic Peak

Professional coaching, Nordic hospitality

Certified & insured

Every instructor holds a nationally recognised qualification and carries full liability insurance. Safety briefings are part of every lesson.

Small groups, real progress

Six guests maximum — usually fewer. That means personal feedback every run, not a queue at the bottom of the piste.

Sorted from your doorstep

We meet you at the base lodge or your hotel lobby, help arrange rental gear, and teach in English, Norwegian, or German.

Guest stories

From nervous to hooked

“I booked First Turns expecting to spend the week falling over. By day three we were doing proper blue runs as a family — and my daughter cried when it ended. Cried because it ended, that is.”

— Hannah & Mark, Bristol, UK · First Turns + Kids Club, February 2026
