A small school with deep Nordic roots
We are an independent ski school built around one idea: a few guests, a great instructor, and snow worth travelling for.
Our story
Born on a ferry, refined over twelve winters
Nordic Peak began in 2014, when head coach Even Sørensen — a former national junior team coach — grew tired of watching visitors leave Tromsø without ever really learning to ski. Too many big-school lessons, he thought, were about throughput, not progress.
So we went the other way: fewer guests per instructor, longer conversations at the top of the lift, and lesson plans built around the people in them. Twelve winters later, most of our bookings still come from word of mouth and returning families.

Three things we never compromise on
Safety first, always
Terrain choice, weather calls, and helmets are non-negotiable. If conditions are wrong, we reschedule — and we say so early.
Progress at your pace
No pressure to move up a level because the schedule says so. Confidence is a skill, and we teach it deliberately.
Arctic hospitality
Cocoa at the top of the lift, honest local tips, and someone who actually knows which café serves the best cinnamon buns in Tromsø.

Marte Lindqvist
Kids & family lead. Certified children's instructor with a toy box that has survived nine seasons and a talent for getting five-year-olds to stop — on purpose.
Jonas Keller
Alpine and touring coach. IFMGA-qualified mountain guide who splits his winter between the piste and the peaks behind the fjord. Avalanche safety is his favourite topic.
