Nope. Loaner boards, helmets and pads are free during lessons. Once you're hooked (statistically, two sessions), the shop will spec a setup that fits your feet and budget.
What should my kid wear to a lesson?+
Closed shoes with flat soles, clothes they can fall in comfortably and a water bottle. We provide helmets, and knee and elbow pads are free to borrow.
I've never touched a skateboard. Is that a problem?+
That's our favourite starting point. Most of our coaches were terrified once too. Beginner lessons cover stance, pushing, stopping and safe falling before anything fancy.
Where do the group rides start?+
At the shop on Rua de Alcântara, Wednesday and Friday evenings at 19:00. Routes change weekly; the pastéis de nata stop at the end does not.
