The Collective

A crew, a shop and a classroom on wheels.

It started in 1998, when a handful of friends from Alcântara turned a cracked patch of concrete behind the old warehouses into their own mini skatepark. No sponsors, no Instagram — just boards, ambition and enough scraped knees to fill a memoir.

Today we run weekly group rides through the best street spots in the city, beginner-friendly lessons every Saturday, and a small shop stacked with decks, wheels and safety gear we actually ride ourselves.

Scars we didn't cause.

Portrait of Miguel Santos, a long-time crew member

"Twelve years with this crew. They took a confused teenager who couldn't kickflip and turned him into someone who actually lands half-cabs. The community here is unreal."

"As a mum, I was nervous about my eleven-year-old starting skateboarding. The instructors were patient, safety-obsessed and genuinely kind. He now counts the days to Saturday."

"The shop saved me from buying three wrong setups online. Mateus helped me pick deck width, wheel hardness and truck size that actually fit my style. Best shop in Lisbon."
