Getting Here

The house hides behind a cedar fence on a side street in Gion. Here is how to find it.

By Train

Three minutes on foot from Gion-Shijo Station (Keihan Line), exit 6. Cross Shijo-dori and head south into the lanes of Gion.

On Foot

A ten-minute walk south from Yasaka Shrine, or fifteen minutes down from Kiyomizu-dera through the preserved streets of Higashiyama.

By Taxi

Ask for "Gion-machi Minami, the tea house with the indigo noren." Most drivers in Higashiyama know the corner by the cedar fence.
